Career Specialties

Raymond Papp specializes in the strategic use of information technology. His book, "Strategic Information Technology: Opportunities for Competitive Advantage," investigates the alignment between business and IT strategy and infrastructure and the use of information systems for competitive advantage.

He has published more than two dozen peer-reviewed journal articles and conducts pedagogical research on statistics and analytics, distributed learning technologies, information systems ethics and the use of IT in the classroom. His research has appeared in numerous scholarly journals, and he has presented at many national and international information systems conferences.

Professional and Community Activities

Papp is co-editor of the Journal of Instructional Pedagogies, as well as a reviewer for numerous academic and professional conferences. He is a commissioner and team chair for the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET.

Papp serves as a Range Safety Officer at Pinellas Outdoor Shooting Range (POSR) in Clearwater. He is an NRA CRSO and instructor.
