Okta has been rebranded to MyUTampa – your launchpad to many of the applications you use every day on your computer and mobile device. This new portal makes accessing UT applications easier and reduces the number of accounts and passwords you have to remember.

Getting Started
How do I log in to get to access to MyUTampa powered by Okta? | Back to top.
To open MyUTampa, go to www.ut.edu/myutampa in any web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.) and click the Log in to MyUTampa button.
What is my username and password for MyUTampa powered by Okta? | Back to top.
MyUTampa will use the same user ID and password you use to log in to the University network.

Multi-factor Authentication

Faculty, Staff, and Students require the use of multi-factor authentication to log into Workday.
Please ensure you have downloaded Okta Verify. View instructions on installing multi-factor.
How do I reset my multi-factor if I have a new phone or changed my number? | Back to top.
If you are faculty, staff or a student and you either swap out your phone, get a new phone number or have deleted Okta Verify app from your phone, please contact the Information Technology and Security Service Desk via email or (813) 253-6293 for assistance in resetting your multi-factor authentication.
Making Changes to Profile

To change your MyUTampa password, login to ut.edu/myutampa and click login on a computer or mobile device. Click on your username in the top menu, and select the ‘Settings’ menu item.
Go to the Change Password section, and select Edit. Enter current password, new password and repeat new password. Click Change Password and click Save.

To change your secondary email address information, login to ut.edu/myutampa and click login on a computer or mobile device. Click on your username in the top menu, and select the ‘Settings’ menu item.
Go to the Personal Information section and select and select Edit. Enter the new secondary email address and click Save.
How to change my "Forgot Password" question? | Back to top.
To change your forgotten password question, login to ut.edu/myutampa and click login on a computer or mobile device. Click on your username in the top menu, and select the ‘Settings’ menu item.
Go to the Forgotten Password question section, and select Edit. Choose a new question, enter your answer and click Save.

If you cannot log into MyUTampa, click the 'Forgot Password' link on the MyUTampa login screen to reset your password or contact the ITS Service Desk at (813) 253-6293.
How do I change my security image? | Back to top.
To change your security image, login to MyUTampa on a computer or mobile device. Click on your username in the top menu, and select the ‘Settings’ menu item.
Go to the Security Image section and select Edit. Select a new security image and click Save.

How do I create a new tab? | Back to top.
To create a new tab, click on the '+' sign next to the last tab. You will be asked to enter a new tab name (for example, "Personal"). Enter the new name of the tab and click save to create it.
How many tabs can I have? | Back to top.
You can have up to five tabs.
How do I delete a tab? | Back to top.
To delete a tab, you will need to move all applications out of that tab into another one. Once the tab has been emptied, you will see a Delete Tab option. Select that option, and your tab will be deleted.
How can I change the order in which my apps appear? | Back to top.
To change the order of your apps, click and hold on an app icon, then drag and drop the app to the location you would like it to be displayed.

To move an app from one tab to another, click and hold on the app icon, then drag and drop your app to the new tab.
How do I search an app if I can't remember which tab I put it on? | Back to top.
At the top of your dashboard, you can find apps in the "Launch App" search bar. If you can't remember which tab your app is on, go to the Launch App search, type in the name of your app and select the name to open it.
