Students may receive academic credit (up to 30 credit hours) for successful completion of International Baccalaureate (IB) Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL) examinations taken in high school.
The official IB certificate is required in order to award credit. Credit is earned for scores of 4 or higher.
Language subject exams at the ab initio level are not accepted for transfer credit.
Spartan Studies is The University of Tampa’s general education program. The following abbreviations indicate which Spartan Studies requirement would be fulfilled. If nothing is listed in the Spartan Studies column, then the course does not meet general education requirements but may meet major requirements or count as general elective credit.
