The UT Family Association serves to establish, maintain and enhance communication between families and the UT community. Families of every student are automatically members of the association!

Update your contact information to receive family news.

Members of the Family Association receive the UT Journal, the full-color alumni magazine published three times a year.

Families are invited to support and share in the UT experience through:

Family Association Board of Directors

The leadership group of the Family Association is an exclusive group of parents and family members who are provided the opportunity to become involved with the university and participate in a meaningful way in the educational experience of our students. The Board is a small group of UT parents who facilitate the advancement of the University by serving as ambassadors, providing feedback on our activities and communications, and providing philanthropic support. Members come from various backgrounds and regions and can serve for the duration of their student's enrollment at UT. The chair of the Family Association Board serves as the parent representative on the UT Board of Trustees. Please email us at parent@ut.edu if you are interested in becoming a member of the Board.

Admissions Assistance

The University of Tampa's admissions staff will cross the country this year to recruit the next incoming class. If interested in helping with college fairs or recruiting efforts, please contact UT admissions at (888) MINARET or admissions@ut.edu.

Career Networking

Parents can play a major role in students' career development by offering internship or shadowing opportunities and urging recruiters to recruit at UT. Parents can contact Career Services for assistance or can become an e-mentor through online Handshake.

Fall Weekend

Every October, more than 2,000 family members visit UT for Fall Weekend. Administrators and students serve on the planning and welcoming committees. Participation from parents is encouraged.

Parent and Family Fund

Tuition alone doesn't cover the cost of educating each UT student. Gifts made to the Parent and Family Fund support student scholarships, maintain the beauty of UT's campus, and keep UT at the forefront of technology.

Graduate Programs

UT offers accelerated graduate programs, including some with guaranteed admission, for current students and alumni. Parents encouraging students to further their studies in graduate programs can learn more about this path through UT2UT.
