Treatment
Care is provided by our team of fully licensed and board-certified physicians, advanced registered nurse practitioners, certified physician assistants and supporting staff. The medical providers are able to diagnose and treat most common physical health problems and prescribe medications. A physician is also available for consult at any time and on-site one morning per week.
Prescriptions
Many prescriptions written at the health center by the medical providers can be filled on-campus for a minimal co-pay. This service is based on availability of the medications. You may also take prescriptions to any drugstore. Walgreens, located three blocks away on Platt Street, offers a pharmacy within walking distance. Capsule pharmacy is a free prescription delivery service. Go to capsule.com to get started. There is also a CVS on Swann Avenue in Olde Hyde Park Village and a Wal-Mart Marketplace on Kennedy Boulevard.
The Health and Wellness Center cannot fill prescriptions written by off-campus providers.
Allergy Clinic
Dickey Health and Wellness Center provides allergy immunotherapy injections to University of Tampa students. Students who are under the care of a private allergy physician may elect to receive their allergy injections on campus at the health center. We will collaborate with your allergist to help you maintain your allergy immunotherapy regimen while on campus.
STI Testing
The University of Tampa's Dickey Health and Wellness Center offers testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV, RPR (Syphilis) and HSV (Herpes Simplex Virus).
