Support UT

Give your support where UT needs it most. Make a gift to the Annual Fund, and UT will be able to use your donation immediately to support our most urgent needs.
As a private University, UT depends on the philanthropic support of the community it serves. Because the University cannot be sustained by tuition alone, all donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to continue a tradition of academic excellence.
The Annual Fund is the primary means by which alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends provide financial support to the University. The fund provides money for academic scholarships, need-based scholarships, academic programs, campus improvements, teaching excellence and faculty developments.
Starting in January 2023, The University of Tampa will start texting! We can't wait to connect and engage with you and keep you informed about all of our campus events and happenings. If you have a new cell phone number, send an email to annualfund@ut.edu so we can update your information in our system.

There are many ways to make a gift to the University. Please contact the Office of Development and University Relations at (813) 253-6220 for help with selecting the best option for you or give online now .

Alumni of all class years give back to their alma mater through gifts to the Annual Fund so that current and future students can follow in their footsteps at The University of Tampa. This year alumni gifts will help support the 92% of students currently receiving financial support, the more than 200 academic programs currently offered, improvements for UT's 105-acre campus and faculty development and teaching innovation for UT faculty members, 90% of whom hold doctorates or the highest degree in their field.

Giving back to UT helps you, too. A degree from a well-regarded University can open a lot of doors. University rankings take into account the number of alumni who donate back to the institution – regardless of how much they give.

The more alumni that support UT, the higher our future ranking will be and the stronger your alma mater’s reputation will become. Alumni can continue this tradition of excellence by supporting the Annual Fund today!

Support your student by giving to the Parent and Family Fund. The Parent and Family Fund offers parents and family members of current and former students a way to enhance the UT experience for all students while showing support for their own son or daughter. The fund is led by the Family Association Board and provides several named scholarships each year while also helping to make improvements campus-wide. Donors may also direct their support to specific programs.

In its fledgling years, The University of Tampa was fortunate if it could collect half the tuition due from its students. It was only through the dedication of its professors, who worked without pay, that the University survived the Great Depression. This spirit of giving remains to this day. UT’s faculty and staff continue to give generous financial and volunteer support to the University.

This year, nearly 70% of University faculty and staff will contribute financially to UT. As our closest stakeholders, donations from UT employees set an example to the community and show UT is a sound investment. Contributions can be made through payroll deductions, as well as one-time donations.
