Career Specialties

Tina Gutierrez-Brewster's career experience is in the nonprofit field and in middle school education. She has served as a teacher and administrator in a Tampa nonprofit middle school for 14 years. Her most recent title was as assistant head of school. Her specialty includes curriculum and instructional leadership, creating professional development paths for educators, school budgeting and communications.

Professional and Community Activities

Gutierrez-Brewster is the president of the Notre Dame Club of Greater Tampa Bay. Through a series of events each year, the club is expected to advance the mission and spirit of Notre Dame in its community. To achieve this important goal, all Notre Dame clubs pursue excellence in six crucial areas, which are as follows: camaraderie, community service, Catholic/Christian spirituality, continuing education, current students and communication.

Honors and Awards

The Broadway League Educator Apple Award; recognized as one of three individuals in the nation in 2015 for outstanding educational efforts in collaboration with Touring Broadway. Those efforts included creating a partnership for Academy Prep, providing at-risk students the opportunity to explore the cultural heritage of Motown music and attend a performance of "Motown the Musical" at the Straz Center.
