Career Specialties

Ronda Sturgill’s career specialties center on the general area of health education. Specific interests include studying the health behavior of college students. She has experience researching and evaluating health related programs. She also has an interest in hybrid and online delivery of courses and programs.

Professional and Community Activities

Sturgill has been very active in the scholarly and research area. She has presented at numerous international, national, regional, state and local conferences. She is an active writer and has produced several publications and technical reports. Her interests generally fall under the broad areas of health education. She also has an interest in health education program evaluation. More recently, her research and writing focus has included issues related to hybrid and online teaching and learning. As a faculty member, she has had the experience of utilizing technology while teaching courses. Sturgill has been active in many allied health organizations at the local and state level and is currently a member of several allied health associations.
