At University of Tampa, Anna Zaitsev teaches classes on management of information systems from the undergraduate to the executive MBA levels. She likes to incorporate real-world case studies into her classes and often encourages students to explore topics through teamwork. When teaching management, Zaitsev draws examples and lessons learned from her industry background and careers as a project manager.  

Professional and Community Activities

Zaitsev’s areas of interested include Agile software development, design thinking, and social media research. Her work has been published in competitive international conferences and leading journals, including Information & OrganizationEuropean Journal of Information Systems and Journal of Association for Information Systems.

Her research on the algorithmic influence on social media has been discussed in Wired Magazine, The New York Times, CNBC, and other press outlets and presented at NATO conference on social media. She has also shared her expertise in podcasts such as Science VS, Tech Policy Podcast, Indirect Message with Laci Green and Only in San Jose.
