The University of Tampa’s graduate certificates were designed to provide working adults with an extraordinary advantage that prepares them to excel in today’s evolving job market that favors advanced, short-term, skill-based training.
Each of the following graduate certificates can be earned in four courses or less, and are stackable, meaning that credits earned in these programs can be applied toward a UT master’s degree if students choose to pursue one.

The graduate certificate in accounting analytics prepares students to perform financial audits, analysis, valuation and research that inform business decisions.
Credits earned in this program can count toward the M.S. in Accounting. Satisfying the matriculation requirements for the master's in accounting enables students to pursue an advanced accounting certificate in accounting analytics in just three courses:
ACC625 - Accounting Research and Analytics
ACC637 - Information Systems Control and Audit
ACC657- Advanced Financial Statement Analysis and Valuation
Qualified applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
OR
- Bachelor's degree in another business program, and completion of the post-baccalaureate accounting certificate.
The graduate certificate in accounting taxation prepares students for technical proficiency in the U.S. federal taxation system, concentrating on issues of individual taxation and research tools in the taxation field.
Credits earned in this program can count toward the M.S. in Accounting. Satisfying the matriculation requirements for the master's in accounting enables students to pursue an advanced accounting certificate in Accounting Taxation in just three courses:
ACC553 - Federal Taxation II (2)
ACC654 - Federal Taxation III (3)
ACC680 - Contemporary Issues in Accounting
Qualified applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
OR
- Bachelor's degree in another business program, and completion of the post-baccalaureate accounting certificate.
The graduate certificate in assurance services prepares students for technical proficiency in the U.S. auditing and attestation standards, reporting requirements, fraud examination methodologies and professional ethics standards in the auditing and attestation field.
Credits earned in this program can count toward the M.S. in Accounting. Satisfying the matriculation requirements for the master's in accounting enables students to pursue an advanced accounting certificate in assurance services in just three courses:
ACC 502 - Auditing II (2)
ACC 655 - Fraud Examination
ACC 635 - Business Ethics and Corporate Governance
Qualified applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
OR
- Bachelor's degree in another business program, and completion of the post-baccalaureate accounting certificate.
The graduate certificate in business analytics prepares students to apply descriptive, prescriptive and predictive analytics techniques to inform business decisions. These include optimization, decision analysis, network, queuing, time-series, new-product forecasting, demand planning, SQL and data/text mining models.
Credits earned in this program can count toward the M.S. in Business Analytics. This advanced certificate in business analytics can be earned in just three courses:
QMB 612 – Decision Modeling and Analysis
ITM 615 – Data Mining for Business
QMB 660 – Advanced Forecasting and Predictive Analytics
The graduate certificate in cybersecurity prepares students for careers in the dynamic cybersecurity industry. In this 12-credit hour program we develop a student's knowledge so they can successfully protect information assets for organizations, regardless of industry or business.
The certificate program covers critical topics such as cloud systems security, risk assessment, contingency planning, secure software design, technology governance and security leadership.
The graduate certificate in effective project management prepares students to sit for the Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications administered by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Credits earned in this program can count toward the M.S. in Information and Technology Management. Students learn concepts of leadership and change, information systems and operations management, and project management knowledge areas and processes. This advanced certificate in project management can be earned in just three courses:

ITM 608 - Information Systems and Operations Management
ITM 614 - Effective Project Management
The graduate certificate in entrepreneurship provides students with the opportunity to gain skills associated with success in entrepreneurship in any context.
Credits earned in this program can count toward the M.S. in Entrepreneurship. In this program, students gain an overview of the new venture creation process, learn techniques for idea generation and opportunity recognition, and how to build a viable business model for any new business concept in just three courses:
ENT 610 – Preparing for the Entrepreneurial Journey
ENT 620 – Creativity and Innovation for Entrepreneurs
ENT 630 – Selecting and Developing a Business Model
UT and the Nonprofit Leadership Center of Tampa Bay have partnered to offer a graduate-level education designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of current and emerging nonprofit executives. The curriculum focuses on effective board governance, strategic planning, marketing, fund development, financial management, tapping leadership potential and business plan development. The graduate certificate in online development provides students with the information, skills and techniques necessary to succeed in the analysis, design, development and implementation of advanced instructional concepts.
Credits earned in this program can count toward the M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology. This graduate certificate prepares students for a career in instructional design and can be earned after completing four courses – one required and three electives.

The graduate certificate in predictive analytics prepares students to apply predictive analytics techniques to inform business decisions. These include machine learning (SQL and Python), classification, clustering, ensemble, forecasting and text mining models.
Credits earned in this program can count toward the M.S. in Business Analytics. This advanced certificate in predictive analytics can be earned in just three courses:
ITM 617 - Machine Learning for Business Analytics
ITM 615 - Data Mining for Business
QMB 660 - Advanced Forecasting and Predictive Analytics
The graduate certificate in sports nutrition prepares students for the skills needed for a career in nutrition and health science, covering topics related to basic sports nutrition, sports supplements and ergogenic aids. Completion of the certificate prepares students to take the International Society of Sports Nutrition Certified Sports Nutritionist exam.
Credits earned in this program can count toward the M.S. in Exercise and Nutrition Science. This advanced certificate in sports nutrition can be earned in just three courses:
