Welcome, students!

The Office of Residence Life looks forward to welcoming new and continuing students back to the residence halls for the Spring 2025 semester.

For Spring 2025, students will be emailed appointment-setting instructions to their Spartan email account. Students will select a move-in appointment time during the scheduled move-in dates.

  • New Student Move-in begins Friday, Jan. 17, at 9 a.m.
  • Continuing Student Move-in begins Saturday, Jan. 18, at 9 a.m.

It is important that families and students arrive on the day and time assigned to them to prevent excessive traffic and congestion on campus and improve the move-inexperience for all students and guests arriving on campus.

We strongly encourage students to bring only minimal items to the residence halls and not to bring in large furniture.

Box trucks will not be permitted on campus from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on University-designated move-in days. For Fall 2024 move-in, this includes Friday, Jan. 17 through Sunday, Jan. 19.

Moving, storage, and delivery companies unaffiliated with The University of Tampa are prohibited from campus during the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on designated residential move-in days. After 7 p.m., unaffiliated delivery operations may resume. All vendors and students must comply with traffic, directives from campus officials, the visitor policy, and residential guest escort policies at all times. More information regarding residential arrival and assignments will be communicated to the student's Spartan email address from the Office of Residence Life.

Collegeboxes Storage and Shipping Program

The Office of Residence Life is partnered with Collegeboxes, powered by U-Haul. The Collegeboxes program is the only UT-approved move-in and storage program that offers in-room pre-arrival deliveries, allowing students to have their items placed in their Fall 2025 room assignments prior to move-in day.

How it works:

  • Students sign up at https://www.collegeboxes.com/the-university-of-tampa/
  • Students pack their items
  • Students print shipping labels from their Collegeboxes Account and schedule their FedEx pickup with a click of a button
  • Items are shipped to the U-Haul storage facility near UT and stored temporarily
  • Collegeboxes delivers items to student rooms before they arrive on campus
  • Students move to school in nothing more than a carry-on and a backpack

Current on-campus residents will be able to sign up with Collegeboxes for select dates this spring to drop off items on campus, which the company can store over the summer months. Current on-campus residents who are planning to live off-campus may also have the items shipped to their off-campus residences.

Incoming residents can also utilize the service to direct ship their items from home, including international locations as an affordable and convenient way for students to get their items shipped and delivered to school. Additional information is available at https://www.collegeboxes.com.

Summer Storage with Collegeboxes by U-Haul

The Collegeboxes program is the only UT-approved storage program that picks up storage items directly from students during move-out and provides in-room delivery before students return to school. Simply create an account on Collegeboxes.com to secure your service and order supplies. Collegeboxes will pick up your items and store them for the summer or ship them to a destination of your choice.

Current on-campus residents can sign up with Collegeboxes for select dates every spring. Current on-campus residents who are planning to live off-campus may also have their items stored and delivered to their new residence.
