The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business’ part-time MBA and UTampa’s master’s degree in nursing were named among the best programs in the country in the 2025 edition of “Best Graduate Schools” by U.S. News & World Report.
The rankings are based on faculty resources, research activity, quality assessment, student selectivity and master’s program size.
The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business’ part-time MBA and UTampa’s master’s degree in nursing were named among the best programs in the country in the 2025 edition of “Best Graduate Schools” by U.S. News & World Report.
UTampa’s master’s degree in nursing (MSN) program was ranked 128 out of 146 programs nationwide.
To be included in the ranking, schools were required to offer master’s programs accredited by either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing or the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation. The rankings are based on faculty resources, research activity, quality assessment, student selectivity and master’s program size. This edition, for the second year, features an increased emphasis on program size, research and faculty resources.
UTampa has offered the Master of Science in Nursing degree and four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs for many years. UTampa's NCLEX passage rate for the past five years is 95%, continuing to surpass national and state trends.
UTampa’s additional health science programs include a doctoral degree in nursing practice (DNP), bachelor’s in nursing, physician assistant medicine, allied health, human performance, athletic training and graduate exercise and nutrition science.
The nursing program is housed in the Jenkins Health and Technology Building, which includes simulation labs, a digital anatomy lab and all the latest health technology and equipment.
UTampa’s part-time MBA program was ranked 207 out of 241 programs nationwide.
To be included in the ranking, schools must be accredited by AACSB International. The rankings are based on peer assessments, part-time student ratio and totals, GMAT/GRE scores, undergraduate grade point average, and student work experience.
Within an 80,000 sq. ft. facility, the Sykes College of Business offers state-of-the-art resources such as the Huizenga Family Foundation Trading Center and more than 1,300 data ports and Wi-Fi for high-speed access. It is also home to the Center for Ethics, TECO Energy Center for Leadership, Naimoli Institute for Business Strategy, Lowth Entrepreneurship Center, Institute for Sales Excellence and the Florida Directors’ Institute.
