The University of Tampa has been recognized for being one of the universities with the highest number of faculty selected for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Three faculty members from UTampa were selected for Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program awards for the current academic year.
The University of Tampa has been recognized for being one of the universities with the highest number of faculty selected for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Three faculty members from UTampa were selected for Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program awards for the current academic year. UTampa was the only university in Florida with that designation in the master’s institution classification and was tied with four other institutions with the second highest number of scholar grants in the nation. The new numbers were released today by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Applicants to Fulbright programs at UTampa are supported through the International Programs Office and Thomas G. Pittz, associate dean for international programs.

Since 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided over 400,000 talented and accomplished students, scholars, teachers, artists, and professionals of all backgrounds with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research abroad. Fulbrighters exchange ideas, build people-to-people connections and work to address complex global challenges.
Fulbright is a program of the U.S. Department of State, with funding provided by the U.S. government. Participating governments and host institutions, corporations and foundations around the world also provide direct and indirect support to the program.
