A Social Media Story: Move-in 2014

The countdown to move-in started months ago, with Instagram pics and Twitter posts, by new UT students excited to make Tampa their home. Beginning Aug. 20, about 1,800 Spartans moved-in to one of 12 residence halls and began orientation, officially starting the fall semester with convocation on Aug. 22.

Throughout it all, students were talking about the next chapter of their lives on social media, from photos of clothes almost packed or the view from their residence hall windows to tweets from family and friends with their best wishes for this next chapter in these students’ lives.
