The always popular Spring Dance Happening will take place April 25–27 at The University of Tampa, featuring popular music and student dancers from all parts of the University community. All performances begin at 8 p.m. in UT’s Falk Theater, 428 W. Kennedy Blvd., and are free and open to the public.
The Dance Happening will feature choreography by UT students, with the addition of some alumni choreographers. Dance styles range from hip-hop to contemporary, and themes cover diverse issues, from socio-political to celebrating the connections we make throughout our lifetime.
“The Dance Happening is a transformative experience for many of our students, both choreographers and dancers,” says Susannah LeMarquand, director of the UT dance program. “They work together to bring an abstract concept into reality on the stage, and then see how transformative dance can truly be.”
The Dance Happening is free, but arrive early for the best seats. For more information, contact LeMarquand at (813) 257-6322 or
