On Friday, Oct. 21, The University of Tampa will welcome Adriana Ocampo, NASA planetary geologist, who will discuss her science and life experiences as part of the annual Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) National Hispanic Scientist of the Year (NHSOY) event.

Ocampo’s talk, “Cosmic Collisions and Dinosaurs,” will be held in the Trustees Board Room on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center and is free and open to the public. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the talk will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m.

For the 11th year in a row, The University of Tampa’s Sykes College of Business has been named as an outstanding business school by the Princeton Review — and recognized as one of the 294 best business schools in the world. The Princeton Review features the school in The Best 294 Business Schools: 2017 Edition.

In Tampa, where temperatures stay warm and leaves stay green almost year-round, signs of fall can be hard to spot. Besides the appearance of pumpkin spice–flavored everything, another sure sign that fall has arrived is The University of Tampa’s annual homecoming.

From Oct. 14–15, the University will welcome back alumni with a full lineup of events, open to all UT alumni and students.

A Garden of Lines: Zachari Logan, Selected Drawings 2011–2016, an exhibition of selected drawings by renowned Canadian artist Zachari Logan, opens at The University of Tampa’s Scarfone/Hartley Gallery on Friday, Oct. 14. The public will have an opportunity to hear from and meet the artist at a gallery talk on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. and the opening reception on Friday, Oct. 14, from 7–9 p.m. The exhibition runs through Nov. 22.
