From realistic humor to wild farce, on Friday, Dec. 11, and Saturday, Dec. 12, eight University of Tampa students will perform four short comic plays in 4x8: An Evening of One Act Plays. Both performances begin at 8 p.m. in the Reeves Theater on the second floor of the Vaughn Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Mariner Cheney ’17 likes to work, but what he doesn’t enjoy is the tedious task of tracking his workout. There are plenty of applications he can use on his phone for cardio, but he hadn’t found anything for weight lifting.

“I thought if I had an automatic way to log my workouts it’d be so much easier to track,” said Cheney, an international business major, of Blue Hill, ME.

So he created one.

UT’s Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl team went 3-1 at the Southeast Regional Competition at St. Petersburg College on Nov. 14, beating out 20 other teams from throughout the Southeast and advancing to the national competition for the third straight year.

These are questions The University of Tampa will answer thanks to a recently announced $150,000 grant from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.

Attention opera lovers! Make plans to be at The University of Tampa on Wednesday, Dec. 9, when the University’s Vocal Performance Workshop will perform scenes from two Baroque operas. The performance, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values at 7:30 p.m.
