Crisis communication specialist Susan Vernon-Devlin, who served as a crisis communication consultant with the city of Sanford, FL, after the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case, will speak at The University of Tampa on Thursday, Oct. 15, at noon in Reeves Theater in the Vaughn Center on campus.

The University of Tampa will present a “choral collage” on Friday, Oct. 9, when four of the University’s five choirs come together to perform. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values and is free and open to the public.

According to Ryan Hebert, director of choral studies, the music and variety of choirs forms an aural and visual collage and represents music of all ethnicities, cultures, languages and histories.

On Monday, Oct. 5, longtime University of Tampa music faculty member Bill Swartzbaugh will give a contemporary bass recital at 7:30 p.m. in Plant Hall’s Grand Salon. The event is free and open to the public.

The concert will include selections from a wide range of musical styles, including classical, Broadway, jazz and pop.

On Wednesday, Oct. 7, The University of Tampa will welcome Jacqueline Darna, who will share her story of moving from a clinician to the inventor and CEO of the No Mo Nausea Band, as part of the John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center in the Sykes College of Business’ Main Street Speaker Series.
