A team of University of Tampa students took first place in a regional Beta Alpha Psi best practices competition, which was held at the 2014 Beta Alpha Psi Southeast Regional Meeting in Orlando on Feb. 21–22.

The leaders of HSN Inc., AutoNation USA and Kohler Co. are slated to speak at The University of Tampa Fellows Forum on Wednesday, March 5, at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Ferguson Hall. A continental breakfast will be served at 7:15 a.m., and the program will run from 8–9:30.

On March 3, The University of Tampa will welcome electronic composer Mark Snyder, who will give an electroacoustic music and multimedia concert at 4 p.m. in Reeves Theatre. The concert is free and open to the public.

John Sykes, founder of Sykes Enterprises, and Frank Morsani, founder of Precision Enterprises, will stop by The University of Tampa on Thursday, Feb. 27, to kick off the Sykes Hall of Fame Business Speaker Series.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. in Falk Theatre with networking and refreshments. The presentation, Formula for Success … Past, Present and Future, will begin at 6 p.m. Geoffrey Simon, senior vice president of investments for Simon & Associates Wealth Management of Raymond James, will serve as moderator.

On Wednesday, Feb. 26, The University of Tampa’s Trio de Minaret will perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Salon. The concert is free and open to the public.

Trio de Minaret is comprised of Lei Liu, violin; Lowell Adams, cello; and Grigorios Zamparas, piano. The trio will perform works by Ástor Piazzolla, David Clark Isele and Ludwig van Beethoven.
