In an effort to support academic and administrative space needs, and to provide additional parking, The University of Tampa has announced it will build a new, seven-story, multiuse structure on campus. The building will include three floors of academic and administrative space, including a new, state of the art home for UT’s Sykes College of Business Entrepreneurship Center, and four floors of parking.

Witness the interplay of visual art, dance and music during An Evening of Experimental Dance on Friday, Nov. 8, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery at The University of Tampa.

During the performance, student dancers will create movement inspired by the art in the gallery, the Sister Cities Arte Exhibition featuring works by 37 artists from Tampa’s oldest Sister City: Barranquilla, Colombia.

On Thursday, Nov. 7, The University of Tampa will welcome José Manuel Garcia, associate professor of Hispanic literature and Latin American studies at Florida Southern College, to speak about his experiences of the Mariel Boatlift and the documentary film he helped create about the event, Voices from Mariel.
