The University of Tampa Jazz Ensemble will wrap up a busy performance season with its spring concert Monday, April 29. The concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Falk Theatre on the UT campus and is free and open to the public.

The Camerata Singers, The University of Tampa’s newest auditioned choral ensemble, will give its debut performance in a joint concert with UT’s Chamber Singers on Thursday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values. The choirs will perform a second concert at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in St. Petersburg on Friday, May 10, at 7 p.m. Both concerts are free and open to the public.

Amanda Duke ’15 began at UT wanting to be a physician. However after working as Associate Professor Rebecca Bellone’s research assistant, she has come to respect and treasure the science that happens behind the scenes.

A team of undergraduate students from The University of Tampa won a $2,500 special Founders Award in a business plan competition to design, develop, train, implement and maintain sustainable agricultural units called “pods” for food insecure communities in the United States and around the world.

UT alumnus Paul Szoldra ’12 was on the front page of The Wall Street Journal this morning. The U.S. Marine veteran is raising heads for his satirical website, the Duffel Blog, with a reputation for being a military version of The Onion.
