Beginning Thursday, March 28, The University of Tampa will show three selections from the Human Rights Watch Traveling Film Festival that highlight the struggles and triumphs of communities in Egypt, Uganda and Iraq. All screenings will be held in the Vaughn Center’s Reeves Theater and are free and open to the public.

One can’t walk into Bailey Art Studios’ STUDIO-f without being put to work. Cutting out felt afros, assembling paper doll-like clothes, painting in backdrops and patterns at artist William Villalongo’s direction. The Brooklyn-based artist has come to UT for a two-week residency at STUDIO-f.

The University of Tampa’s musical theatre ensemble, OPUS, will give its spring show, OPUS: Counterpoint, on Monday, March 25, at 7:30 p.m. in Plant Hall’s Fletcher Lounge.The show will feature duets and ensemble numbers where melodies are introduced, then sung together to produce a musical counterpoint. The program features music from A Chorus Line, A Little Night Music, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Bye Bye Birdie and other Broadway favorites.

An ancient story will have a fresh retelling as The University of Tampa presents a world-premiere translation ofHippolytus by Euripides. Show times are 8 p.m. on Wednesday–Friday, March 27–29, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 30. All performances will be in Falk Theatre, located at 428 W. Kennedy Blvd.

The Interfaith Amigos — a pastor, a rabbi and a sheikh — will be on the campus of The University of Tampa on Thursday, March 21, at 7 p.m. to present, through insight and humor, on the importance of interfaith dialogue and understanding.
