The Spartan Indoor Futbol Club is not only diverse nationally, but internationally as well. Its members come from countries like Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Kenya and Brazil. While they may not be fluent in one another’s languages, when they are on the pitch, they all speak the same thing: futbol. Their first tournament begins Nov. 9 with a game in Cass Gym at 7 p.m.

On Sunday, Nov. 11, The University of Tampa will host a day of musical and educational events with the Symphonic Orchestra of Guanajuato from Mexico and the LUXA 21 trio from Germany, culminating in a concert by the two groups at First Baptist Church of Tampa at 7:30 p.m.

Elisabet Fandino ’13, a music performance major from Jacksonville, wasn’t nervous about being critiqued by professional musicians on her piano performance. “Sometimes it is necessary to have a different person listen and analyze what you just played to give you fresh and new ideas,” said Fandino of the master class she attended at UT Nov. 6 with members of the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

The interplay of visual art, dance and music will be explored during An Evening of Experimental Dance on Friday, Nov. 9, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery at The University of Tampa.

Stop by The University of Tampa Friday, Nov. 9, for an evening of chamber music. Four ensembles of students in the University’s music program will perform a variety of chamber music beginning at 6 p.m. in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values.
