The first concert of the 2012-2013 Concert Artist Series in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values will also be a first for The University of Tampa. The concert, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 7, at 2 p.m., will be the first to feature the chapel’s 3,184-pipe Dobson organ with an orchestra.

The University of Tampa has resumed its First Friday at Noon recital series. The next concert is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 5, and will feature Ryan Hebert, University organist and assistant professor of music, performing the music of George Frideric Handel.

Students from The University of Tampa will spend this Saturday, Sept. 22, volunteering out in the Tampa Bay community during the University’s annual day of service, Into the Streets. Traditionally held during the first week of classes, the event was postponed this year due to the Republican National Convention.
