To close out the First Friday Concert series for 2011-2012, The University of Tampa will welcome the 70-voice Concert Choir from Douglas Anderson High School for the Arts in Jacksonville, FL. The concert will be held in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values on Friday, May 4, at noon and is free and open to the public.

In the fall of 2010, Seth Morenzoni ’12 and Abbey Ray ’12 took the inaugural step in becoming the first to enroll in UT’s leadership minor. When they graduate this May, the two will leave behind 28 students who have followed in their path.

When Candace Pryor ’12 realized that her other classes seemed to get in the way of her being in the studio making pottery, she changed her major to ceramics. Now she joins about three dozen others in the last statement of their academic careers, the BFA Exit Show, to be held April 25 to May 4 at the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery.

As the youngest of six children, it is unusual for Latoya Bowe ’12 to be the first at anything in her family. However on May 6, when she receives her diploma, she’ll be the first person in her family to receive a college degree.

The University of Tampa announced recently that the PepsiCo Dream Machine recycling program has been rolled out on campus, providing the UT community with a convenient and rewarding way to recycle their bottles and cans while on-the-go.
