Earth Charter US (ECUS) Sustainable Business Coalition, in partnership with The University of Tampa’s Center for Ethics, will recognize 12 local businesses during the fourth annual Sustainable Business Awards luncheon Feb. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Cuba conjures thoughts of humid nights, salsa dancing in the streets, the roll of cigar smoke swirling over a table of dominoes and those 1950s Chevys making the streets seem stuck in time. For 17 University of Tampa students who traveled there this winter, Cuba came alive through the revolutions, history and culture studied in the classroom and then absorbed in real-time as they covered the country from east to west, almost coast to coast, from Santiago de Cuba to La Habana.

The University of Tampa is saddened by the death of longtime supporter and former football standout Freddie Solomon. The former NFL standout and UT Hall of Famer passed away on Monday.
