The “Lectores” public reading series will host prominent authors Michael Connelly, Amy Hill Hearth, George Saunders and many others in its inaugural season. The series includes seven events and coincides with the first class of the new MFA in Creative Writing program at UT, a low-residency program that biannually brings writers from around the world to Tampa.

Rebecca Bellone, associate professor of biology at the University of Tampa, has received a $3,200 grant from TriLink BioTechnologies to facilitate research on the genetics of the “tiger eye” in pure Puerto Rican Paso Fino horses.

Although sad to leave UT behind, Jessica Beaugez '11 credits the University with preparing her for a successful post-college career. In January, Beaugez will begin a job with the National Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C., as a communications manager. VIDEO.
