The Minor in Spanish program helps prepare students for graduate or professional schools and for a variety of career opportunities. Courses are designed to build strong language skills and to expand cultural awareness.

In addition to class work, students acquire language skills through individualized learning and research projects with professors, field experiences, campus programs, internships and study abroad opportunities. Twenty-four semester hours of credit at 200 level or higher are required for a Spanish minor. SPT 250/251 may not be counted toward the minor.

Students are encouraged to participate in international study and travel experiences.
