Faculty Calendar
There are numerous training opportunities for faculty and instructional staff. By offering a variety of training topics and formats, we hope to provide the support each faculty member may need to assist with the transition from Blackboard to SpartanLearn (powered by Canvas). While you are not expected to attend every session and utilize all resources, the following options are available.
- Around the Universe: The Universal Language of Images - Mastering the Art of Alternative Text: Please join us for a brief overview of what alternative text is and why it is crucial for digital accessibility.
- Around the Universe: Universal Accessibility- Exploring the Cosmos of Inclusion: Engage in the fundamental principles of accessibility, emphasizing the importance of creating inclusive environments for everyone.
- Pearson: Come to the ITS Training Center to learn all about Pearson's Digital Platforms. Bring your laptops for this interactive presentation. A Pearson rep will present to you on setting up the platforms and linking them to Canvas.
- McGraw-Hill: Come to the ITS Training Center to learn all about McGraw Hill's Platforms. A McGraw Hill rep will present to you on setting up the platforms and linking them to Canvas.
- Cengage: Come to the ITS Training Center to learn all about MindTap, Cengage's leading digital learning tool, and for a chance to win a raffle prize! Bring your laptops for this interactive presentation. A Cengage rep will present to you on setting up your MindTap course and linking it to Canvas.
