Your future starts here! Complete the online orientation program!
As a new student, you will have the opportunity to get to know your campus prior to your arrival by completing UTampa's online orientation program. This program has been specifically designed with YOU in mind! From navigating academics to getting involved on campus, this program will help you familiarize yourself with the many resources available to you as a Spartan. The online orientation program for all new incoming students (residents, commuters and transfers) starting in Fall 2025 will be available beginning July 14. You can access online orientation through your MyUTampa account, and it must be completed prior to your arrival on campus.
New Resident Students
Residential move-in for new students will be taking place Aug. 20-22. The Office of Residence Life will share additional information regarding room assignments and how to sign up for a move-in appointment. Once students arrive on campus, they are encouraged to participate in Week of Welcome (WOW!) from Aug. 22- Sept. 1.
New Commuter Students
New students who will be living off-campus can check in on the second floor of the Vaughn Center at the Spartan Card Office. (Check-in dates and times will be released in July). During check-in, new students who are living off-campus will receive their Spartan Card ID and other important information.
Fall 2025 Week of Welcome
Week of Welcome (WOW!) is designed specifically to help our new students as they transition to the University and we are excited to welcome our new Spartans to campus! The Spring 2025 Week of Welcome will take place from Friday, Aug. 20, to Monday, Sept. 1.
Our Week of Welcome schedule is made available through the Guidebook app. This interactive app allows you to set your own schedule, view Tampa weather, find important campus contact information, receive event changes in real-time and more!
The Fall 2025 Week of Welcome schedule will be available via Guidebook in August! Download Guidebook via Google Play or the App Store. Once the app is downloaded search The University of Tampa Office of Orientation and Family Engagement to download our guide space to access the schedule.
Live Virtual New Student Q&A Session
Transitioning to college life can be tough—but our staff and student leaders are here for support! New students will have an opportunity to participate in the Live Virtual New Student Q &A session each semester. The Fall 2025 session will take place on Wednesday, July 16 at 7pm EST. Please check your spartan email address, mid-June, to register for this virtual event.
