The Legacy Society is the University's way of recognizing a special group of people who have documented inclusion of the University in their estate plan. Members of the Legacy Society believe in the mission of The University of Tampa and want to ensure that valuable life-changing educational programs and services will continue for future generations.
Bequests and other gifts may be made to the University for any stated purpose or for the general purposes of the University without restrictions. Gift funds may be named in honor of the donor or nominee, if desired.
Membership in the Legacy Society may be activated by sending a documentation form ( download PDF ) that notifies the University of intent and documents the basis for the donor's qualifications.
Legacy Society members will be honored annually at a special University event, in addition to receiving a distinctive membership certificate. A permanent plaque recognizing all members of the Legacy Society is located in Plant Hall.
From the beginning, The University of Tampa was created by founders and supporters who gave money, time and thoughtful consideration so that the ideals of an independent, comprehensive education might take root in Tampa. Now, several generations later, the University continues to provide an outstanding, diversified academic challenge for students.
