Bre Mertz focuses on topics that optimize individual well-being in the contexts of 1) consumer behavior (consumer well-being and social media wellness), 2) services marketing (employee well-being and workplace dignity) and 3) marketing interventions for vulnerable populations (modern slavery and human trafficking). 

Professional and Community Activities

Mertz’ research is published in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of Consumer Behavior and Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice. She presents research at numerous conferences, including the American Marketing Association, Academy of Marketing Science, Macromarketing, Transformative Consumer Research and Society of Marketing Advances. She also serves as a reviewer for various journals and conferences within the discipline.
