Success Scholars Resources
There there are many resources on campus to help you stay on track and reach the goal of getting a college degree. SPEARs send out weekly emails filled with resources to make it easier for scholars to find support. Below are some resources available in the Success Scholars Program to help you succeed academically.
Previous EPIC trips have included the Medical Examiner's Office, Moffitt Cancer Research Center, Tampa International Airport, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. During the 2020-2021 school year this program was fully remote and included UT alumni!
If you are a graduate of UT, especially the Success Scholars Program, we would love to coordinate an EPIC trip with your employer. Please email success@ut.edu for more information.
Each month a faculty or staff member is invited to dine with up to seven scholars at Panache in Morsani Hall. This is a great opportunity for you to network and hear more about their lives, interests, research and hobbies. UT alumni are also welcome to dine with scholars for a Lunch and Learn!
Workshops are a great place to learn and develop new skills. Scholars are invited to workshops each month on topics such as resume writing, strengths and Adulting 101. STP workshops are facilitated just for scholars, but SPEARs also send out resources for workshops hosted by other departments on campus. Virtual workshops were facilitated during the 2020-2021 academic year so scholars could continue developing Spartan Ready competencies.
