UTampa to Host CEO of Thomas Financial for Leadership Speaker Series

The TECO Energy Center for Leadership, part of the Sykes College of Business at the University of Tampa, is proud to present “From a Family’s Second-Generation Business to Lasting Generational Impact,” as part of its Leadership Speaker Series, a biannual speaker event.

The speaker is Lauren Thomas Compton MBA ’04, CEO of Thomas Financial.

The TECO Energy Center for Leadership, part of the Sykes College of Business at the University of Tampa, is proud to present “From a Family’s Second-Generation Business to Lasting Generational Impact,” as part of its Leadership Speaker Series, a biannual speaker event. The event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 4:30-5:30 p.m., in Plant Hall’s Fletcher Lounge on campus, followed by networking and refreshments.

The speaker is Lauren Thomas Compton MBA ’04, CEO of Thomas Financial. She started with the company in 2004 and became CEO in 2021, and now is responsible for revenue growth, finance, operations and cultivating the relationships of the firm’s second- and third-generation clients.

The Leadership Speaker Series is dedicated to bringing in outstanding leaders from the private, governmental and nonprofit sectors to discuss business topics and corporate strategies with students, faculty, alumni and members of the community. Leaders candidly share their experiences, discuss challenges that have impacted their leadership development, and provide advice to aspiring leaders. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are required to RSVP as seating is limited.
