John Jackson, a casting director who has cast George Clooney, Bruce Dern, Paul Giamatti and Shailene Woodley in various Oscar-nominated movies, will speak at The University of Tampa on Friday, Feb. 7.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 4 p.m. in the Crescent Room on the 9th floor of the Vaughn Center on the UT campus.
Jackson has cast actors for such Oscar-nominated film as “The Descendants,” “Sideways” and “Nebraska.”
Film director Alexander Payne recently described Jackson as his “secret weapon … It’s such an important thing, casting, making sure everyone is vivid.”
Jackson is coming to Tampa to hold actors’ workshops as part of the Sunscreen Film Festival’s educational program.
