Learn about Emotional Intelligence for Leaders Sept. 14–16

UPDATE (Sept. 5, 2017) This program has been cancelled. Research shows that emotions are essentially contagious, and thus a leader’s attitude and energy can “infect” a workplace either for better or for worse. Learn the skills you need to be a strong, emotionally intelligent leader at The University of Tampa’s Emotional Intelligence for Leaders, presented by the Sykes College of Business TECO Energy Center for Leadership and the Society for Emotional Intelligence. This three-day certificate program is scheduled for 6–9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, and 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 15–16, in the Sykes College of Business, Room 150.This program is designed for managers, leaders or anyone who wants to enhance their overall performance and create a healthy, productive workplace and organizational culture.Emotional intelligence has become a crucial part in how today’s leaders meet the challenges they face daily. Objectives of the program include:
  • Provide an in-depth look at emotional intelligence and the value of these skills
  • Assess your current leadership style and the application of emotional intelligence
  • Understand how emotions can influence thoughts, behavior, goals, decision-making and relationships
  • Discuss the application of emotional intelligence to leadership
  • Practice and apply emotional intelligence to real-world leadership situations
  • Establish an action plan to continue applying emotional intelligence skills
Each attendee will also receive up to three complimentary 30-minute coaching sessions after completing the program.

Early bird registration is $1,395 (available for a limited time). Once early bird registration closes, Society for Emotional Intelligence members can register for $1,495 and non-members for $1,595.
