John Lowth, member of The University of Tampa’s class of 1982, Board of Trustee member, parent of a UT student and namesake of the
Lowth Entrepreneurship Center, passed away on Sunday, April 9.
Lowth was the president of Arnone, Lowth, Wilson, Leibowitz, Andriano & Greco LLC, a life insurance firm.
Lowth was a longtime UT donor who helped establish the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center in 2015. He was a firm believer that an entrepreneurship center could help students develop real life experience before leaving UT, and students could benefit from the connections and mentorship that the center provides.
Lowth studied criminology at UT and worked in the Office of Admissions immediately after graduation. He then went on to pursue a career in life insurance.
“We will miss John’s lifelong commitment to UT, his business experience and his strong presence,” said UT President Ron Vaughn. “He truly embodied the spirit of UT.”
