The University of Tampa Men's Glee Club, Women's Glee Club and Collegiate Chorale will “Let Music Live” in a concert on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m. Nearly 120 students in the choirs will sing a variety of a cappella and accompanied works by noted composers.
The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values on the UT campus.
The theme of the concert, "Let Music Live," is drawn from the piece by Joseph Martin called "The Awakening," which will be performed by the Collegiate Chorale at the concert's conclusion. UT's newest vocal ensemble, Men's Glee Club, will open the concert with the UT alma mater.
Each choir will also sing pieces with the chapel organ accompanied by renowned concert organist Haig Mardirosian, UT professor of music and dean of the College of Arts and Letters.
The concert is sponsored by The University of Tampa Department of Music. For more information, contact Ryan Hebert, UT director of choral activities, at (813) 257-3344 or
