Hear from today’s business experts and connect with tomorrow’s brightest stars at the 2017 Leadership Summit, presented by The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business TECO Energy Center for Leadership. The 2017 Leadership Summit is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 7:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd.
The event will feature retired Army Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling, who now works on global strategy and physician leader development with Florida Hospital and is the author of
Growing Physician Leaders: Empowering Doctors to Improve Our Healthcare. Hertling is scheduled to speak at 8 a.m.
Following Hertling’s presentation will be a leadership panel discussion. The panel, featuring local business leaders, will include keynote speaker Hertling; Rhea Law, chair of the Florida offices of Buchanan, Ingersoll and Rooney PC; Dave Pizzo, market president for the West Florida region of Florida Blue; and Dave Ciesla, M.D., regional trauma director of Tampa General Hospital and USF Health. The panel will be moderated by Deirdre Dixon, UT assistant professor of management.
The event will conclude with roundtable discussions led by UT students on hot topics in leadership, followed by lunch at noon.
