The University of Tampa will showcase the work of graduating fine arts seniors during the BFA Exit Show Dec. 3–12 at the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery. There will be a reception to honor graduates on Friday, Dec. 12, from 7–9 p.m.

Each student will present work in their area of expertise, including painting, computer graphics, graphic design, animation and mixed media.

The Spartans made this weekend one to remember with two UT teams advancing to NCAA finals.

The University of Tampa women's cross country team won its eighth consecutive NCAA Division II South Region championship on Saturday, qualifying for the NCAA Championships for the 12th straight season.

The No. 1 ranked University of Tampa Spartans volleyball team (31-1) defeated the No. 19 Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish (30-4) by a 3-1 score (25-23, 25-14, 26-28, 25-12), awarding the Spartans a trip to the NCAA Division II National Championship.

On Tuesday, Dec. 2, The University of Tampa will welcome Michele Rioux, a political science professor at the University of Quebec at Montreal, as part of the University’s honors symposia series. The lecture begins at 5 p.m. in the Reeves Theatre on the second floor of the Vaughn Center, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd., and is free and open to the public.

The University of Tampa has joined the Institute of International Education’s (IIE) Generation Study Abroad initiative to help more Americans to gain international experience through study abroad programs.

IIE’s Generation Study Abroad seeks to mobilize resources and commitments with the goal of doubling the number of U.S. students studying abroad by the end of the decade.

On Friday, Nov. 21, 10 teams of three to five University of Tampa students will compete for a chance to win $1 million in startup capital. UT is one of approximately 75 colleges and universities chosen to host a local edition of the Hult Prize, allowing the winning team to bypass the application round and go straight to regional competition. The UT event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the Martinez Athletics Center’s Sword & Shield Room.
