On Monday, Sept. 22, The University of Tampa will present a concert by Don Saginario, a member of the music department’s music technology and composition faculty. The concert is set for 4 p.m. in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values and is free and open to the public.

Saginario will perform jazz/blues standards and original compositions for electric guitar.

Erica Williams — an ex-political strategist and advocate turned transformational speaker, storytelling trainer and media maker — will be at The University of Tampa on Friday, Sept. 26, to speak to students about how they can use their degree and 21st century digital technology to mobilize change in their communities and throughout the nation.

On Sunday, Sept. 28, The University of Tampa will kick off the 2014-2015 PNC Bank Concert Artist Series at the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values with Works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The concert will begin at 2 p.m.

Performers include Grigorios Zamparas, piano; Ted Decorso, clarinet; and Hein Jung, soprano. Haig Mardirosian, dean of the College of Arts and Letters, will conduct an orchestra of some of the area’s best professional musicians.

For coffee lovers, there is just something warm and comforting about curling up on the couch with a cup in one hand and a book in the other. So a collaboration by two UT Master of Fine Arts in creative writing students — one who has content and one who has coffee — seems totally natural.

The University of Tampa will host a panel discussion on Crowdfunding: Cutting Edge Funding for Entrepreneurs on Wednesday, Sept. 24, as part of the Entrepreneurship Center in the Sykes College of Business’ MainStreet Speaker Series.

The event begins with a networking breakfast at 7:30 a.m., with the presentation running from 7:45–9 a.m. It will be held in the Crescent Club on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center.
