The Theory of Relativity, an award nominated musical, will be presented by The University of Tampa on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 11-13, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in UT’s Falk Theatre, 428 W. Kennedy Blvd. 

The Theory of Relativity takes a gentle and humorous approach to the interconnected lives we share. With a vast array of characters experiencing the joys and heartbreaks, loves and losses, and the wonder of human connection, you are sure to see yourself in this wondrous musical production.

The University of Tampa’s BFA graduation exhibit will feature student art work from Wednesday, April 17- Friday, May 10. The exhibit, Undertones, will be held in the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery, located on campus at the R.K Bailey Arts Studios at 310 N. Blvd. The exhibit is free and open to the public. 

The exhibit features 10 graduating artists working in a variety of techniques, including oil painting, papermaking, photography, experimental printmaking, encaustic painting, mixed media, sculpture, ceramic and video installation.

The University of Tampa Voice Performance Workshop and UT Symphonic Orchestra will present the “Night at the Operas,” a family-friendly classical concert, on Tuesday, April 16. The event and workshop will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be held on campus in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values. The concert is free and open to the public.

The University of Tampa has been named to Phi Theta Kappa’s 2019 Transfer Honor Roll, which identifies the top four-year colleges and universities that create dynamic pathways to support transfer students.

UT is one of only 78 institutions nationwide selected to receive this honor. This distinguished honor is awarded to the top 25 percent of colleges who earned the highest transfer friendliness ratings.

John Stinespring and Vivekanand Jayakumar, associate professors of economics at The University of Tampa, will present an update on the Tampa Bay economy as well as an outlook of the global economy at the Adam Smith Breakfast. The event will be held on Thursday, April 4, from 7:30-9:30 a.m. in the Crescent Club, located on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center.

The Adam Smith Breakfast is provided for local business community members operating in a global economy. Proceeds from the breakfast will support the Adam Smith Society, the honor society of the Department of Economics.
