The University of Tampa’s artist ensemble in residence, Trio de Minaret, will perform on Tuesday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values. The concert is free and open to the public.

Trio de Minaret is comprised of UT music faculty members Lei Liu, violin; Lowell Adams, cello; and Grigorios Zamparas, piano. Guest artist Derek Mosloff, viola, will join them for the performance, which includes Mozart’s Piano Trio K. 564, Schoenfield’s “Café Music” and Dvorak’s “Piano Quartet in E-flat Major.”

Florida Orchestra clarinetist Erika Shrauger and University of South Florida cellist Scott Kluksdahl will team up with University of Tampa pianist Grigorios Zamparas for a chamber music recital on Thursday, Feb. 28. The recital begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Plant Hall Grand Salon and is free and open to the public.

The program for the event will include piano trios by Brahms and Beethoven

Ray Ingersoll, Jason Reed and Evan Koorse, all University of Tampa alumni, were honored with alumni awards by UT’s Lowth Entrepreneurship Center for their professional and personal achievements.

Ray Ingersoll, a member of the Class of 1991, won the Outstanding Service to Entrepreneurs Award. He is the founder of The Ingersoll Group Inc., a consulting and training firm.

The University of Tampa’s student chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) received an honorable mention award for its activities conducted during the 2017-2018 academic year.

The chapter and faculty advisors will be recognized at the 257th ACS National Meeting in Orlando later this spring.

The University of Tampa’s new Spartan Success Alumni Lecture Series aims to bring alumni back to campus to help them reconnect with the University and give students a glimpse of the possibilities of life after UT. The first lecture, scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 26, features Kira Armacost ’07, senior scientist at Merck & Co. Inc. The event begins at 4 p.m. in the Graduate and Health Studies Building, Room 104, and is free and open to the public.
